Blondes

Whether you are looking for bright blonde, sun-kissed golden tones or cool and frosted tones, we will use the right technique to get the results you want. A master colourist needs to lift blonde hair above its natural base colour in order to prevent it from becoming weaker over time. Méche uses Aveda’s 96% naturally derived hair colour system, which contains castor, sunflower, lavender, and green tea extract to protect your hair during colouring.

CLASSIC HIGHLIGHTS AND MICROLIGHTS

These techniques allow us to add multiple shimmering tones to your hair through the process of classic highlighting and ultra-fine applications of highlights for soft and natural colour. Your stylist will discuss how you can maintain your look between salon visits, and the results can be as bold or subtle as you desire. We use L’Oréal Professional to ensure 87% less breakage and 100% reliable colour results to protect your hair during the colouring process.

BALAYAGE

The freehand colour painting technique is designed to create a natural colour that does not reveal harsh or noticeable regrowth. From root to tip, this technique builds up blonde tones so that the ends look brighter than natural blonde hair. Scattered highlights can be combined with partial balayage applications.

BLONDE MAINTENANCE

For blondes, we offer colour maintenance services specifically designed to lengthen the life of your colour and minimise the appearance of regrowth.

This is just a guide to help you understand how the process works.

COLOUR PREPARATION

A pre-colouring process may be required if your hair is being taken darker. If you’re taking your hair lighter, a colour cleansing or pre-lightening process may be necessary, and these may need to be performed several times, depending on the level of change you are looking to achieve.

CLASSIC HIGHLIGHTS AND MICROLIGHTS

The techniques we use can gradually remove colour build-up in the hair, lighten it progressively, or add dark colours and bright fashion colours.

COLOUR CHANGE MAINTENANCE

Hair must go through several stages of colouring before the final result can be achieved when changing its colour.  Initially, colour may fade slightly quicker due to the colouring process altering the cuticle of the hair, which can make it prone to losing colour pigments. Therefore, we recommend scheduling a colour refresh appointment four weeks after your colour transformation.

Fashion boosting - For colours using bright pigments such as vibrant blues, pinks and purples, we recommend a fashion colour boost to return the hair to its initial vibrancy. We will guide you on how to maintain your colour at home too.
